Mechanical Engineering: High-Tech Engineering & Opto-Mechatronics - GEANNULEERD

In maart wordt de Maart Master Maand georganiseerd voor alle 3mE bachelorstudenten die een master op de faculteit 3mE willen gaan doen. Tijdens verschillende lunchpauzes in maart wordt er een presentatie gegeven over een master of mastertrack. Meer informatie kan je vinden op de website tudelft.nl/3me/mastervoorlichting.
Je kan je voor zoveel presentaties aanmelden als je wilt! Je kan je hier aanmelden.

To meet the steadily increasing requirements in all high precision engineering application areas, traditional mechanical engineering is pushed to extremes in precision, miniaturisation and multi domain integration both for the products of tomorrow and the equipment to make those products. This requires a science-based engineering approach based on thorough understanding of not only mechanics and dynamics but also aspects such as thermodynamics, mechatronics, optics and system miniaturisation and integration.

Mechanical Engineering: Opto-Mechatronics

Opto-mechatronical systems and products are everywhere and some examples are: A wafer scanner writing 10 nm structures using an optical path comprising over 50 optical elements. Or a telescope gathering star light photon-by-photon from the outskirts of the universe. The development of these systems requires understanding and development in subjects such as metrology with picometer accuracy, low-light astronomy, precision 3D printing, and optical fiber technology.
